Samtökin '78 offers free counseling to queer people, their families and professionals. Full confidentiality applies. Every year, many people use the counseling service. We offer counseling for personal issues, social and psychological counseling and also legal advice.
Social work

Samtökin '78 is a non-profit organization, founded by queer people for queer people. The organization is a democratic association that holds an annual general meeting, social meetings, and a number of other events.
Youth work
We are all as we are.
Children and young people should always have someone who listens and even gives advice. The '78 organization welcomes all people, regardless of age. Coming out, thinking about coming out, thinking that you are gay and other thoughts are completely normal. You are welcome, no matter what age you are.
Advocacy
Freedom depends on equality. We fight for the rights of queer people
The '78 organization realizes that full equality has not been achieved. We are vigilant against all forms of inequality, make ourselves heard and pressure the government to implement legal reforms. The fight for human rights is political and we will never fall asleep on our guard.
