Í febrúar og mars verður boðið upp á opnar listasmiðjur fyrir fullorðið fólk í Samtökunum ’78 og fara þær fram á ensku. Hver smiðja er sjálfstæð og hægt er að mæta á eina eða fleiri, allt eftir áhuga hvers og eins. Skráningar er krafist (sjá neðst á síðunni). Hér á eftir fer lýsing Mikkel Odu, sem mun leiða vinnustofurnar:
// In February and March, open art workshops for adults will be offered at Samtökin ’78. Each workshop is independent and you can attend one or more, depending on your interests. Registration is required (see bottom of page). Below is a description by Mikkel Odu, who will lead the workshops:
In these five meetings we will build some stories, play with watercolours, release our minds with letters and pictures, and use our imagination to create characters. We will use some variety of mediums and techniques that enrich inspiration. The aim is to have fun, be creative and enjoy yourselves.
Mikkel Odu is an independent animator and illustrator originally from the Czech Republic, where he also graduated in visual arts at the university. Beside art projects he has been working as a teacher and has been doing workshops where the focus is on imagination and creativity within artwork.
Monday 17. February 17.00 – 19.00
Comic strip – Creating 3 window story on a theme: “On the way home” with using pictures and text from newspapers, using materials: old newspapers, glue, paper, scissors
Monday 24. February 17.00 – 19.00
Collaboration project – character and story – participants are gradually creating a character by drawing piece by piece together and changing the paper with each other, same method applies when creating and drawing a story, using materials: paper, pencil, litir
Monday 3. March 17.00 – 19.00
Torn paper collage – creating a “picture” by tearing or cutting coloured paper and magazines, theme: “Ég elska …”, using materials: paper, coloured papers, newspapers, scissors, glue
Saturday 15. March 15.00 – 18.00
Create your own character – little book – participants are creating and drawing a character and putting the character into a little book, using materials: paper, pencils, litir, watercolours, brushes
Monday 17. March 17.00 – 19.00
Create a creature – participants are using intuitively watercolours to create splashes/shapes and later adding body parts (arm, legs, eyes…) to the shapes to create creatures, using materials: paper, watercolours, brushes, pencils, litir
